What is Galentine's Day?
Galentine’s Day is very similar to Valentine’s Day but, you guessed it, it’s spent with your gal pals! Most importantly, Galentine’s Day should not be mistaken for an anti-Valentine’s party. It is simply a chance for you and your girlfriends to get together and celebrate your love and friendship with one another.
Also, we can’t forget to give credit to Leslie Knope for her creation of Galentine’s Day. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Leslie Knope is a character from the TV show Parks & Recreation. Leslie proclaimed February 13 to be the day to celebrate the joys of female friendship.
How You Can Celebrate Galentine’s Day
Brunch It Up
Whether you decide to go out to brunch, or even host a mimosa bar at home, you can’t go wrong. If you’re going the at-home route, all you need to do is make some delicious breakfast treats and create a mimosa bar (mimosa bar is a fan favorite)!
